The outboard motor should be upright as shown in the following figure 1 when be in transit. If the engine
must be laid down, please be sure to put it as shown in the following figure 2 or figure 3 when be in transit.
CAUTION:
Do not use the tilt support lever or knob when trailering the boat. The outboard motor could
shake loose from the tilt support and fall. If the motor cannot be trailered in the normal running
position, use an additional support device to secure it in the tilt position.
WARNING:
Never get under the lower unit while it is tilted, even if a motor support bar is used.
Please put the outboard motor as shown figures below when transporting it.

Note:
Place a towel or something similar under the outboard motor to protect it from damage when
as shown in the figure 2 or figure 3 above.
Please make sure the tiller handle faces down to make the throttle handle point to the
direction of propeller.
