Getting started • Plug the supplied filter into the jackpoint. To set up your internet connection, you’ll initially need to use the Ethernet cable. Due to the length of the DSL cable, your computer needs to be close to the jack point. NOTE: Once you’ve established a connection using the cable, you’ll be able to set up a wireless (WiFi) connection.
Connecting your modem Plug in your modem to the computer • Plug one end of the DSL cable into the DSL port on your modem. • Plug one end of the white ethernet cable into any ethernet port on the modem. Telecom recommends you secure your wireless network using a password to prevent unauthorised access. Wireless networks have a Network Name (also known as the Internet Access SSID) and Wireless Key (the password). To set up your Network Name and Wireless Key, perform the following steps 1.
