Installation Instructions

Attention!
technicians due to the complexity of the installation and compliance to national/local
building and electrical codes.

Overview

These instructions guide you through the installation of a DISH Network SuperDISH antenna
system. This antenna system is capable of receiving digital television signals from three satellite
locations. There are two classes of antenna systems:
105 SuperDISH Antenna
(DBS), and 105W (FSS).
121 SuperDISH Antenna
and 110W (DBS).
The antenna system class must be selected by the technician based on the programming required by the
customer. Additionally, there are two types of antenna systems for each three-satellite class: Type 1,
which uses a metal reflector (Figures 1a, 1b, 2a, and 2b), and Type 2, which uses a composite reflector
(Figures 1c and 2c). The minor installation differences for each type are covered in these instructions.
It is important to note that most parts are not interchangeable between different antenna systems;
therefore, it is important to use part numbers when ordering replacement parts for these systems.
These instructions cover wall mounting only. For other mounting options (for example, pole mounting,
struts, non-penetrating mounting), see DNS training material, which is also available on the retailer
website.
To meet requirements of withstanding 100 m.p.h. wind, attachment to a wall must
withstand a 220 lb. force applied in any direction to the end of the mast.

Satellite Receivers

While all DISH Network satellite receivers can be connected to any SuperDISH antenna to receive
110W/119W programming, only the following models will support receiving and displaying
programming from the 105W or 121W satellite locations:
All DISH Pro and DISH Pro Plus receiver models which can be identified by the logos shown
below.
The following Legacy receiver models which do not have the above logos: 2700, 2800, 3700,
3800, 3900, 4700, 4900, and 6000.
: If you are trying to connect a Legacy receiver (no DISH Pro or DISH Pro Plus logo) to a DISH
