Vehicles without smart entry & start system
The parking brake can only be released with the
engine switch in the ON position.
Vehicles smart entry & start system
The parking brake can only be released with the engine switch in the
IGNITION ON mode.
Automatic release (vehicles with manual transmission)
When starting to drive, operation of the accelerator pedal
or clutch pedal will disengage the parking brake.
Light will come on
when fully engaged.
(A light operational
noise may be heard)
