General Operating Instructions
1. Turn the Master Switch on the back of
O
the heater off, to
accidental operation. Then plug the heater
into a grounded 120V~ electrical outlet.
2. Turn the Master Switch on the back of the heater on,
I

position, and press the Power Button.
The fan will not operate until the heating
elements reach their operating temperature.
3. Adjust the controls as desired,
see Controls section on facing page for details.
The heater will go to standby mode when the
air reaches the heater's thermostat setting.
Note: The heater will sound an alert 5 seconds before
automatically shutting off from the Timer function.
4. After use, press the power button
and wait until the fan turns off.
Then, turn the Master Switch (31) off,

position, and disconnect its power cord.
CAUTION: TO PREVENT HEATER DAMAGE:
Turn off the power switch and wait for the fan to stop
BEFORE turning off the Master Switch or unplugging.
5. WARNING! Allow heater to cool completely
before cleaning or storage. Once cool, clean, then
store the heater indoors out of children's reach.
Maintenance and Servicing
Procedures not specifically explained
in this manual must be performed
only by a qualified technician.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY FROM BURNS:
Turn the Master Switch on the back of the
O
heater off, to
position, unplug the heater
from its electrical outlet, and allow it to cool
completely before assembling, moving, or
making any adjustments to the heater.
TO PREVENT SERIOUS INJURY AND FIRE
FROM HEATER FAILURE:
Do not use damaged equipment.
If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have
the problem corrected before further use.

1. BEFORE EACH USE, inspect the general
condition of the heater. Check for loose hardware,
misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked
or broken parts, damaged electrical wiring, and any
other condition that may affect its safe operation.
2. Wipe the exterior surfaces of the heater occasionally
with a slightly moist cloth (not dripping wet).
Dry the case thoroughly with a soft dry
cloth before operating the heater.
WARNING! Do not allow water to run into
the interior of the heater as this could
create a fire or electric shock hazard.

Filter Maintenance

Clean the Filter (25) periodically for efficient operation.
See Figure A: Rear Panel on page 4.
1. Lift up on the bottom center of the Filter.
2. Pull the bottom center of the Filter back,
away from the heater and remove it.
3. Rinse the Filter thoroughly with warm, clean water.
Do not use pressurized, hot, or soapy water;
these may clog or damage the Filter.
If the Filter is clogged or damaged, replace it.
4. Drain and shake water off Filter, and allow it to
dry for at least 24 hours before reinstalling.
WARNING! Do not reinstall Filter until completely dry.
Do not use heater without Filter in place.

Troubleshooting

If the heater does not operate:
a. Make sure that the heater is plugged in
and Master Switch is on, in
b. Ensure that the outlet used is powered and
that the circuit breaker is not tripped.
c. Eliminate the use of an extension cord.
d. Clean the Filter.
See Filter Maintenance, above.
e. Check for any obstruction in the heater's vents.
If an obstruction is found, turn the Master Switch
on the back of the heater off, to
unplug the heater and wait for it to cool completely.
Then, carefully remove the obstruction.
f. Thermostat improperly calibrated.
Press Time Button for 5 seconds to restore
factory default thermostat calibration.
If the above remedies do not solve the problem, take the
heater to a qualified technician for diagnosis and repair.
