INTRODUCTION
Although this Mower is simple to operate and care for, it is very important that instructions as outlined
in this manual be studied and followed very closely before beginning to assemble.
Each Mower is given
a through inspection before shipment, however, it is important that it be again
checked at the time of receipt to ascertain if any damage has occurred in transit.

Setting Up, Operating Instructions and Safety
Precautions should
be
studied very closely be-
fore beginning to assemble your mower. A num-
ber at the beginning of a paragraph in the foll-
owing instructions refers to an arrow in the ad-
joining figure, except when otherwise stated.
When R.N. (Right Hand) and L.H. (Left Hand)
are used, .t should be understood to mean from a
position behind and facing the mower or direction
of travel).
Cut all wires.
NOTE: The one extra thick flat

in bag of parts must be saved for use in Step

2 Assemble belt tightener lever (B) to Right
hand side of tractor as shown. NOTE: Bolt
(C) must be removed from tractor. Use two
3/8 x 1V2 inch bolts provided with mower,
for attaching lever.
I Assemble belt tightener link (D) and ad-
justing pin to belt tightener lever (B), and
secure with spring retainer as shown.

1. Assemble idler shaft (A), to front of tractor
frame, and hook spring into hole in rear of
front axle bracket and hole in front of Idler
frame as shown.

Slide mower mounting frame beneath tractor
as
shown in Fig. 3. Line up hole in frame
(M) with hole in rear hanger (A), refer to
Fig 's 3 and 4. Slide hanger shaft (N), with
roll pin attached, through holes in frame
(M) and rear hanger (A) from L.H. side.
NOTE: Place a cushion washer (shipped in
bag of parts) over shaft (N) and between
frame (M) and rear hanger (A) at both R.H.
and L.H. sides of tractor. Secure R.N. side

with spring retainer (0), shipped in bag of
parts.
