To play back media content out of other networked devices,
take the following steps:
1. Select the Share Device List menu, then the list of all
available networked devices gets displayed.
NOTE
Some digital media servers (DMS) may not work with
this receiver.
2. Select a device which has media content you want to
play, then the list of media files on the selected device
gets displayed.
3. Select a media file you want to play, then the digital re-
ceiver would pull and play the selected media file if it
can play back.
4. If you want to make any other networked device play
your selection, press the
button, then the list of shared devices gets displayed. Se-
lect a device you want to use as a player, then the desig-
nated device would pull and play the selected media file
if it can play back.
5. If you want to download your selection to the digital re-
ceiver, press the
then the selected media file gets copied into the digital
receiver's hard drive. You can check the downloaded
media files on only the FTP server of the digital receiver.
NOTE
In order for the digital receiver to find the folders shared on
your computer you must first install a media server software
on your PC.
If you have Windows 7 you will need to turn on the media
server component in windows media player. Alternatively
you can also use another media server program.
