Installing a Child Seat with a
Tether

A child seat with a tether can be
installed in the passenger's seat,
using the anchorage point shown
above.
Since a tether can provide additional
security to the lap/shoulder belt
installation, we recommend using a
tether whenever one is required or
available.

1.
Adjust the passenger's seat and
seat-back as far forward as
possible to make room.
2.
Using the measurements shown,
poke a marker hole in the lining
behind the seat.
3.
Use a razor blade or sharp knife to
cut a 1-inch (2.5 cm) diameter
circle around the marker hole,
then remove the cut upholstery.
4.
Install the tether hardware.
Tighten the bolt to:
16 lbf·ft (22 N·m , 2.2 kgf·m)
Installing a Child Seat
U.S. Models:
The hardware is available for
purchase from your dealer (part
numbers: 82410-S84-C10 for the
hardware and 82419-S84-C00 for the
cover).
Canadian Models:
The hardware is stored in the glove
compartment.
