Settings

Sound

Change settings for various sounds on the device.
• V olume: Adjust the volume level for music and videos, system sounds, and notifications.
• D efault notification sound: Select a ringtone for events, such as incoming emails.
• T ouch sounds: Set the device to sound when selecting an application or option on the
touch screen.
• S creen lock sound: Set the device to sound when locking or unlocking the touch screen.
• V ibration feedback: Set the device to vibrate when touching keys.
• K ey-tap sound: Set the device to sound when a key is touched.
• A udio output: Select a sound output format to use when connecting your device to
optional HDMI devices. Some devices may not support the surround sound setting.

Blocking mode

Select which notifications will be blocked in blocking mode.

Hands-free mode

Set the device to read contents aloud and specify applications to use in hands-free mode.

Accessory

Change settings for accessories.
• D ock sound: Set the device to play a sound when your device is connected to or
removed from an optional desktop dock.
• A udio output mode: Set the device to use the dock speaker when your device is
connected to an optional desktop dock.
• D esk home screen display: Set the device to show the desk clock when your device is
connected to an optional desktop dock.
• A udio output: Select a sound output format to use when connecting your device to
optional HDMI devices. Some devices may not support the surround sound setting.
