5. Security settings
Access "Security setting" and set security options to avoid illegal operation of the
mobile phone or SIM card and to protect your phone from unauthorized access.
■ SIM1 security settings
 SIM1 lock
To set a SIM lock, set the PIN code. This can protect your SIM card from illegal
operations. If the SIM lock is off, input PIN code to activate SIM lock and you
need to input the PIN code to switch on the phone next time; if the PIN code is on,
you can input the PIN code to deactivate the SIM lock.
Note: If you input invalid PIN code for three times continuously, the SIM card is
locked and you need the PUK code to unlock the SIM card. The PIN code and
PUK code may be provided together with the SIM card. Please contact your
network operator if not. The default PIN code is 1234. Please change it into your
own private password as soon as possible.
 Fixed dial
If supported by your SIM card, you can select some telephone numbers to dial. If
this service is activated, you can only dial the telephone number in the fixed dial
list or the number started with some numbers in front of the telephone number in
the list.
Note: You need to input PIN2 code to activate/deactivate this function; please
contact your network supplier for the PIN2 code.
 Barred dial
If this function is on, you can‟t call the numbers in the list.
Note: This function needs network support; please contact your network supplier
for the PIN2 code.
 Change password
In this menu, you can edit the PIN/PIN2 codes.
■ SIM2 security settings
See "SIM1 security settings". (Note: SIM2 doesn‟t have Call barring)
■ Phone lock
The phone lock can protect your mobile phone from illegal operations. In this
option, you can perform the following settings: If the phone lock is off, you can input
the password to activate the phone lock, and you need to input the password to switch
on the phone next time. If the phone lock is on, you can input the password to deactivate
the phone lock.
