Automatic tyre pressure
monitoring 3
The lamp illuminates if the tyre pressure in
one or more tyres is too low or a fault has
arisen in the tyre pressure system, see
page 214.
If the tyre pressure system has warned or
alarmed due to low pressure then the pres-
sure must be reset to the recommended
level so that the warning/alarm disappears.
Below is an example of the message simul-
taneously shown on the DIC:
Tyre pressure low,
front left. Check tyres.
Auto checking of lights
The warning and indicator lights shown
above should come on when the ignition
switch is turned to position 3. They should
go out after about 4 seconds once the
engine has started or after the fault-free
self-diagnosis of each system or function.
