    3. Installing the Expansion Board Disassembly view Remove the two screws under the front cover, and remove the rear cover so that the expansion board can be installed. Cut out the rectangle perforations on the rear cover so that the connection cables of the expansion board can be passed through.

    Installation method The installation method for the expansion board is shown below. Diameter of installation hole on expansion board: Ф4.7 mm Use screws that fit this diameter to fix the expansion board to a wall or similar location. Connect the expansion board to the ground.

    4. About RS-232C Supported models This section shows the models that are supported by the commands registered in the unit, and the models that correspond to the model data that is supplied with the programming tool. ■ Supported models (as of February 2010) 1.

    Using the programming tool ■Requirements for the Computer on which the programming tool is to be installed OS: Windows 2000/XP or later At least one free Com port that operates normally. ■Installation Obtain a tool that can decompress files with the ".rar" extension. (Example: winrar, winzip) After decompressing is complete, open the folder.
  • Page 11 "ELMO RS232 Programming Ver1.0" is displayed in the main window. [Project], [Model], [Settings], [About] and [Quit] are available in the menu of the main window. 1. Preparations Select [Settings] in the menu of the programming tool and set the Com port that you want to use.
  • Page 12 Select [Project] from the menu of the programming tool. The Project window opens. Register the model of your projector and save it as a project file. For details, see "3. Project window description" on p.15. Remove the rear cover of the unit, and connect the unit and the Com port of the Computer on which the programming tool is installed with the programming cable.
  • Page 13 While pressing and holding the unit's (Volume Down) button and (MUTE) button (3 seconds), insert the AC Adapter. When the buttons are released, the LEDs flash. This means that the preparations for downloading the project to the unit are complete. If you do not download within 30 seconds, the unit will return to normal operations.

  • Page 15 Here you can edit the models that you will use in a project. First, select [Project Name] to open an existing project. The factory setting is "ELMO.prj", so select and open this. Next, select a model that you want to register in the project.
  • Page 16 To create a new project, press [New]. Enter a file name, and then select and save the model files. The file name is displayed in [Project Name].
  • Page 17 4. Model window description When [Model] is selected from the menu, a new window opens. Here you can edit the projector command tables. Check and set the baud rate, parity bit, data bits and stop bits of the projector that you want to use.

Select a Com port of the Computer that you will use for downloading to the unit. Select Com Port (1). After completing the settings, select [Save Changes] (2). The settings are saved.
