Installation and Operating Instructions
The Pyramid Bridge Interface enables the Pyramid system to connect to a range of other CCTV system products with the
minimum of effort. These products include System 7000 receivers, JVC dome cameras, Mark Mercer Electronics Limited
dome cameras and Dennard 2050 dome cameras.
Each bridge interface must have a unique address called a network address, and this can be set using the Pyramid 2
Keyboard. A network address should be assigned to each bridge on the network and be within the range of 1 to 20.
To address a bridge interface, follow the steps below:
1. Press the Utility Menu screen key.
2. Press the Unit Address Type soft-key.
The Addressing screen is displayed.
3. Using the number keys, enter the matrix number to which the bridge is connected, and then press the Matrix Ref soft-
key.
4. Press the Bridge Address soft-key. The keyboard LCD displays a message asking the operator to press the service
pin.

5. So that the keyboard can identify the bridge interface, press its service pin. This is located on the rear panel of the
bridge unit. When it is pressed, the bridge’s neuron ID is transmitted to all other devices on the Pyramid network. The
neuron ID is a unique identifier which is used to establish communication between the bridge interface and all other
devices. Once the bridge interface has been identified by the network, it can be assigned a node ID.
