Understanding the Display

Standby mode

In its normal standby mode, ROAD ANGEL Plus's display shows your
speed, compass heading or time, and satellite reception (indicated by a
four-bar column – the more bars displayed, the greater the satellite
reception).

Alert mode

When you are approaching a known danger zone, ROAD ANGEL Plus
shows the type of hazard on the left side of the display. If you are
approaching a fixed, temporary or average speed camera location and
travelling below the advisory speed limit, the display remains blue (see
Intelligent Backlight, page 28). If you are travelling above the advisory limit,
or approaching a black spot or Primary school, the display backlight
changes to red. If your speed subsequently drops below the advisory
speed limit, the backlight returns to the normal blue colour.
