Background Information

Global Positioning Satellites (GPS)
Operational since 1990, 24 satellites orbit the earth at a height of
11,000 miles. At any given point on the globe, at least 4 satellites are
in view at any one time. Using sophisticated aerials and triangulation
techniques, units such as ROAD ANGEL are able to compute your
exact position with great accuracy.
