Read Me First Thank you for purchasing the Panasonic Handheld Computer. These operating instructions describe the instructions for the Handheld Computer. Before connecting, operating or adjusting this product, please read these instructions completely, and save this manual for future use.
Laser CAUTION: Use of controls adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified herein may result in hazardous laser light exposure. Class 2 Laser scanners use a low power, visible light diode. As with any very bright light source, such as the sun, the user should avoid staring into the beam directly. Momentary exposure to a Class 2 laser is not known to be harmful.

Battery pack : JT-H320BT-E1 WARNING This battery pack is designed for the specified handheld computers. Do not use the battery pack with any other device. Use the specified device to charge the battery pack. There is the risk of heat generation, fire, or explosion. Do not throw the battery pack into fire or heat the battery pack.
Precautions for Use Observe the following to use this product correctly. Handheld computer p p Do not open or modify the main unit case. Battery pack p p The battery pack is a consumable. The battery life, which varies with using conditions, is approximately a year as a guideline, and after a year or approximately over 300 times of recharging, the recharging capability becomes weak.

Drop impact/damage p p Handle this product with care because this product is precision equipment. Do not apply impact on this product, drop this product, or put a heavy object on this product. p p Do not damage the scanner reading portion. System operation p p Be sure to turn off the power before battery pack replacement.

Replace a Battery Pack ■ How to replace Battery Pack JT-H320BT-E1 Charge a new battery pack before use for the first time. Finish the operation and power off the unit. p Data may be erased or troubles may happen when the battery pack is removed while the power is on.

Replace the battery pack with a new one. When inserting the battery pack into the unit, make sure that the terminals are correctly directed. p Wipe the dust or dripping away from the battery pack case. New battery pack Close the battery pack cover, and lock the cover surely. p Be sure to lock the battery pack cover to protect the battery pack case from dripping or splashing.
Charge the Unit Insert the unit into the Cradle. p p The figure below is an example of a USB Cradle (JT-H320CU-E1). The handheld computer can be placed on the Cradle (JT-H320CG-E1) and charged with the Cradle in a similar way. The USB Cradle and Cradle must be purchased separately.
Scan a Barcode ■ How to use the laser scanner (Applicable model : JT-H320HT-E1) Press the side or center trigger. A laser will be radiated. p Depending on operations to be performed, another key may be used to scan a code instead of the trigger.
Scan a 2D code ■ How to use the 2D scanner (Applicable model : JT-H320HT-E2) Press the side or center trigger. A laser marker will be radiated. p Depending on operations to be performed, another key may be used to scan a code instead of the trigger.
About Connection with Another Device When you are not certain how to establish communication with another device, please contact your place of purchase of this device. ■ Notes on radio communication (Bluetooth ® , wireless LAN) p p Communication may not be established around other wireless machines, business machines, or power lines because their radio frequencies may cause interferences.
How to Care Be sure to power off main unit before cleaning. ■ Main unit (Excluding the charging terminal) p p When this product gets dirty, clean with a dry soft cloth. p p When the dirt is hard to remove, wipe the product gently with a twisted wet cloth, and then with a dry soft cloth.
