The microwave has a burn mark on the inside of the door and is now not working

A burn mark inside the Focal Point VT-25UG16-1 microwave could be caused by:

- Using a dish with metal trimmings
- Leaving a fork or other metal utensils inside
- Aluminium foil being too close to the oven walls

These can cause sparking or arcing, leading to burn marks.

The microwave may not be working because:

- The timer was not set correctly
- The door is not properly closed
- The electric circuit is overloaded, causing a fuse to blow or a breaker to trip

These issues can prevent the microwave from operating.

My control panel has a mind of its own jumping about various settings

The control panel of the Focal Point VT-25UG16-1 microwave could be changing settings unexpectedly due to several possible reasons:

1. Accidental Knob Movement – The Time/Weight/Auto Cooking knob can change settings if it is accidentally turned.
2. Child Lock Not Activated – If the child lock function is not enabled, accidental button presses could alter settings.
3. Electrical Interference – Power fluctuations or unstable voltage might cause the LED panel to behave unpredictably.
4. Faulty Buttons or Control Panel – A malfunctioning button or panel may cause unintended inputs.
5. Moisture or Dirt on the Panel – If the control panel is dirty or damp, it may register unintended touches.

If the issue persists, cleaning the panel, enabling the child lock, or checking the power supply may help. If none of these resolve the problem, technical inspection may be needed.
