79ci does no take paper to triturate I put oil and keep doing it , is running , ca it may be fix?

If your Fellowes PowerShred 79Ci is not taking paper to shred, follow these steps:

1. Check for Paper Jams – If paper is stuck, press the reverse button to clear it.
2. Ensure Sensors are Clean – Dust buildup on the paper detection sensors can prevent shredding. Clean the sensors by oiling the shredder when empty.
3. Verify Power and Settings – Make sure the shredder is plugged in, turned on, and set to Auto mode.
4. Confirm Bin is Properly Closed – If the bin is open or full, the shredder may not function. Secure and empty the bin if needed.
5. Check Sheet Capacity – Do not exceed the maximum limit of 14 sheets per pass.
6. Inspect SafeSense Technology – If a hand is too close, the shredder may stop. Move hands away and try again.
