All the pictures in the instructions are for explanation purposes only.
The actual dimensions and shape may have been revised.
The design and specifications are subject to change without prior notice for product improvement.
Consult with the sales agency or manufacturer for details.
The seriousness is classified by the following indications.
WARNING/CAUTION
This symbol indicates the possibility of death, serious injury or property damage.
WARNING
1) Install according to this installation instruction. If installed improperly, it may cause property
damage, water leakage, electrical shock and fire damage.
2) Use the included accessories and specified parts for installation, otherwise, it cause collateral damage.
3) Install outdoor unit on a firm solid base capable of supporting the weight of the unit.
The indoor unit must be installed on a wall capable of supporting the weight of the unit.
4) The electrical installation must follow all local and national codes by a certified installer. Supply power
must be from a protected circuit. The supply circuit must be used with an outdoor approved disconnect
box.
5) Use only the specified wire or cable. All connections must be secured to prevent external
pulling of wires to terminal connections, this may cause fire or personal harm.
6) Wire routing must be arranged so that control board cover is fixed properly. If control board
cover is not fixed perfectly, it will cause fire or electrical shock.
7) When installing the line set (piping) take precautions not to let air and any foreign materials from
entering the system, this will cause lower capacity, abnormal pressure and damage to the compressor.
CAUTION
1) This equipment must be properly
grounded
or personal injury and erratic operation may occur.
2) Do not install the unit at place where leakage of flammable gas may occur. In case gas leaks and
accumulates at surrounding of the unit, it may cause fire.
3) Carry out drainage piping as mentioned in installation instructions. If drainage is not perfect, water
may enter the room and damage the furniture.

SELECT IDEAL LOCATION

Indoor unit
There should not be any heat source or steam
near the unit.
There should not be any obstacles blocking
air circulation.
Locate where there is good air circulation in the room.
Water drainage must be considered when locating the unit.
Ensure the dimensions indicated by arrows from the
wall, ceiling, floor and other obstacles are observed.
There should not be any direct sunlight. If unavoidable,
sunlight prevention should be taken into consideration.
Outdoor unit
There should not be any obstructions for the discharge air.
Ensure the dimensions indicated by arrow from a wall
fence or other obstacles are maintained.

INDOOR UNIT MOUNTING PLATE

NOTE:
The mounting wall should be strong and solid
enough to prevent vibration.
Fit the Mounting Plate
1. Secure the mounting plate level to
structural wall supports.
Use a level to ensure the mounting
plate is leveled, so condensate can
drain properly.
2. If the wall is made of brick, concrete
or the like, drill eight (8) 0.2" diameter
holes in the wall. Insert Clip anchor for
appropriate mounting screws.
3. Secure the mounting plate on the wall
with wall anchors or proper mounting
screws.

NOTE:
Use the mounting plate (packaged in the back
of the indoor unit) as the template.
(Dimensions are in inches unless otherwise stated)

WALL HOLE - REAR CABLE & DRAIN
1. Determine hole positions according to left and right
side of the installation plate. The hole center is obtained
by measuring the distance as shown in the diagram above.
2. Drill the wall hole with a φ3.7" hole-core drill.
3. Drill the wall hole at either the right or the left and the
hole must be slightly slanted to the outdoor side.
4. Always use wall hole conduit when drilling metal grid,
metal plate or the like.
I
5. Wall sleeve can now be inserted into the hole from the inside.
We recommend the sleeve to be approximately 3/16" longer
N
than the wall thickness - cut as necessary.

CONNECTING LINE SET AND DRAIN TUBING

R
U
Drainage
1. Run the drain tubing sloping downward.
N
Do not install the drain hose as illustrated
in Figures.
I
2. When connecting extension drain hose,
insulate the drain tubing with tape and
T
maintain a downward slope.
Line Set installation
1. For the left-hand and right-hand installation,
remove the pipe cover from the side panel.
2. For the rear-right-hand and rear-left-hand
installation, install the piping as shown.
3. Bundle the tubing, connecting cable, and
drain hose with tape securely, as
shown in Figure on the right.
Do not restrict water from draining out of drain pan.
CAUTION
Connect the indoor unit first, then the
outdoor unit.
Be careful not to let the drain hose slack.
Insulate both suction and liquid pipes.
Be sure that the drain hose is located at
the lowest side of the bundle. Locating at
the upper side can cause drain pan to
overflow inside the unit.
Run the drain hose sloping downward to
drain the condensed water smoothly.

Indoor unit installation

1. Pass the piping through the hole in the wall.
2. Hook the indoor unit onto the upper portion
of installation plate(Engage the indoor unit with
the upper edge of the installation plate). Ensure
the hooks are properly seated on the installation
plate.
3. Piping can be made easier by lifting the indoor
unit with a cushioning (spacing) material between
the indoor unit and the wall. Remove after
completing the indoor installation to wall plate.
4. Press the lower left and right side of the unit
against the installation plate until hooks
engages with the their slots.
5. Indoor unit is now installed. It should be plumb,
level and flush with the wall. Ensure that the line set
stubs are completely through the wall.
Also check that the wall is plumb. The unit must be
level and plumb for proper condensate removal.
6. Check the drain hose, Observe that the condensate
drain pipe does not curve upward and is in the lower
part of the pipe bundle.
