Configuration Connectors The DLMS4080 can be set up and configured with a computer using USB, RS-232 or Ethernet. Tech Note: Do Not plug your DLMS4080 into a computer until the proper drivers are installed!! The proper device drivers are located on the included CD.
LCD Display Necessary information and settings for the DLMS4080 are displayed on the LCD Display. The display is 2-Line by 16 Characters LCD backlit display. Menu Keys There are 6 menu keys identified as: Menu (menu back), Menu (menu forward), Cursor, Cursor , Enter/ Sys, and Exit.

Powering Up the DLMS4080 When the DLMS4080 is powered up, the initialization process begins and takes about 8-seconds. During that period, the display shows the model and firmware version currently loaded into the DLMS4080. VTC PRO AUDIO V1.01 Once the initialization process is finished, the DLMS4080 displays the current program number and program name assigned to the unit.
Operating the DLMS4080 User Tip: Channel Linking Selection – While holding down a Menu key, more than 1 channel from the same group (Input or Output group) can be selected to link the channels together. The green LEDs below the Mute buttons are illuminated for the linked channels.

1. Recall Menu – Program memory bank recall The DLMS4080 has a built in non-volatile memory that can store up to 30 different program setups. A program previously saved to memory can be recalled using this menu.

Stereo 3-Way Stereo 4-Way The DLMS4080 assigns the Input source for the corresponding outputs when the Mode of Configuration is selected. The crossover point parameters like the filter type, cut-off frequency and slope have to be configured manually in the Xover Menu in each Output menu.

DELAY UNIT:m 6. Comm – RS232 Serial Communication parameters These parameters include baud rate and device identification when more than one DLMS4080 is operating on the same network. BAUD RATE – Select the baud rate of the serial communication, choose between 1200, 2400, 4800, Menu 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600 and 115200.

7. XPanel – Network Setup If there are more than one DLMS4080 on a network, units can be assigned as a Master or a Slave. This enables the Master unit to control units which are setup as slaves. Menu MODE – The DLMS4080 can be set as a Master or Slave.
Packets: Sent= 4, Received= 4, Lost= 0. This confirms that there was data sent to the DLMS4080, and data received in return. If you do not receive this result, then go back to step #3 and confirm the installation.

Load the VTC ProControl software from the CD included with your DLMS4080 onto your computer. When the VTC ProControl application installation is complete, connect a USB cable from the USB socket on the front panel of the DLMS4080 to a USB connector on your personal computer. (cable not included) Turn on the DLMS4080.
Windows XP PC through the USB, RS-232 or Ethernet communication links. The VTC ProControl GUI application makes it much easier to control (and monitor) the DLMS4080, allowing the user to get the whole picture on one screen. Programs can be recalled and stored from/to PC’ s hard drive, thus expanding the storage to become virtually limitless.
Elevation Line Array was designed to because of differences in the digital processor’s program. If a DSP processor other than the VTC DLMS4080 is used, contact the VTC product support group for the specific settings for your processor.
