(4) Waypoint Mode
The Star Pilot 6 is capable of storing up to 100 Waypoints. whrch
can be used to create up to l0 Routes of l0 Waypoints each.
Waypoints rnust be stored into the Waypoint Lo-e belore they can be
used to create Routes. To view or edit your Waypoint Log. prcss Key
#4 from the MENU Screen.
The Waypoint Log will be seen on the lefi side ol'thc clisplar'. The
cursor can be scrolled to dif'f'erent Waypoint positions bv using thc
Up or Down Arrow softkeys below the display. To vie w. enter or edil
a Waypoint press the softkey under ENTR aficr the cursor is locatecl
at the Waypoint position clesired.
Afier pressing the ENTR. or ENTER kcv. a Window will ope n
requesting you to enter or edit the Way'point Name. Use the Ke1'pad
Left or Right Arrows to movc the cursor to the appropriatc lcttcr

Numeric Keypad to enter or cdit the letter space s. The cursor will

When you have cornplcted the NAME entr\'. press the ENTER
sofikey.
When vou have completed the NAME entr)'. a new Winclou' will
o p e n o n t h e r i g h t o f t h e d i s p l a y . Y o u m a v e n t e r o r e d i t t h c l a t i t u c l c
and longitudc coordinates tbr the Waypoint by using the Alpha-
Numeric Keypacl to movc the cursor to the desircd digit space.
NOTE: Remcrnber to enter N lbr NORTH Latitudes. W firr WEST

When you have con-rpleted the latitucle and longitude entrv. press the
ENTR sofikey. The Star Pilot 6 will return to the Waypoint Screen.
Your Waypoint will be shown added to the Waypoint Log on thc lcft
side of the display.
Creating Routes
Once you have Waypoints stored in the Waypoint Log. you can
create ROUTES. The Star Pilot can store up to 10 Routes. Each
Route can sequence up to l0 waypoints.
To create or edit a Route. press the sofikey undcr RTE on the
Waypoint Screen. If you have any Routes prcviously stored. they will
be shown on the left side of thc display.
Use the Up or Down Arrow softkeys to m()ve the cursor to the Routc
you wish to cdit. Press the softkey ENTR to ENTER the Route of
choice.
