For Safe Use of your Divelight
Warning:
Do not make any modifications to the unit.
If the product malfunctions please contact us or our authorized dealer. Do not attempt to fix the unit yourself.
Keep out of reach from children.
Caution:
Do not disassemble the system in water or wet conditions.
Do not look directly at the lamp while in use.
Pay special attention to the seal before every dive. Make sure it is properly cleaned before and after every dive.
When transporting your dive light in luggage, bag, or box, make sure the switch lock is in place. If the divelight turns
on unintentionally, the heat emitted from the lamp may cause burns or a fire.
Proper Usage and Storage
Always bring a back up light on every dive.
Place system carefully in dive bags; Hard impact may damage internal components.
Rinse off the system with freshwater after every dive. Dry and store away from sunlight.
Use the supplied O-Rings (See O-Ring Care and Maintenance) with every dive.
Common Operations
Turning on/off the light
The on/off switch is located at the rear base of the light housing. A small switch lock is included for protection against accidental
turn-on during storage or travel, and/or for uninterrupted use during dives. To use the switch lock, simply move the small tab.
Batteries
The SLX uses six AA size batteries. You may choose to use alkaline batteries or any other commercial AA rechargeable batteries.
Different batteries will give you different burn time and output (Some rechargeable AA batteries with a lower voltage may decrease
the total light output. Our test with most 15-minute quick chargers yielded poor results – try different batteries and
chargers if you see an abnormally fast decrease in light output
Always make sure the light is turned off before switching the batteries to avoid damage to the switch and
bulbs and be sure the battery (+ and -) is positioned correctly. It is the user's responsibility if any damage is
caused by improper operation.
Fastening and removing the housing cover
When fastening the housing cover, ensure that there is no debris or particles on the threading or o-rings. If debris is present, lightly
brush off, clean and lightly grease the o-rings. Tighten the cover snugly but never force it on. Twist the housing cover
counterclockwise while holding the handle to remove the housing cover for battery replacement.
