Using the touch screen with Explore by touch
With the Explore by touch feature, you can use the touch screen by touching and listening.
Selecting an item
When you drag your finger around the screen, the device reads content or the name of the
item under your finger. Alternatively, flick your finger to the left or right on the screen to move
to the previous or next item. Tap the screen twice to select an item.
When the Explore by touch feature is turned off, tap once to select an item.
Scrolling through panels or lists
To scroll through the Home or Applications screen, use two fingers to drag the screen to
the left or right. To scroll through a long list, use two fingers to drag the screen up or down.
Alternatively, use one finger to drag the screen to the right and then to back to the left in a Z
pattern to move to the next part of the list. Drag one finger in the opposite direction to move
to the previous part of the list.
When the Explore by touch feature is turned off, drag with one finger.
Adjusting the seek control
With the seek control, you can adjust the intensity of some options, such as volume or
brightness, by moving a button horizontally along a bar. First, select the control by dragging
the screen with one finger. Then, use two fingers to drag the seek control to the left or right to
adjust the option.
When the Explore by touch feature is turned off, drag with one finger.
