Pictured below: Use of a GPS-MIC-1 unit connected to a two way portable
transceiver and laptop using the USB interface cable at the head end
(Incident Command/Dispatch station). This cable connects the two way
transceiver with the laptop or Computer via a USB cable that attaches to the
GPS-MIC-1 unit which serves as the control interface. No need for a base
station if you have string signal strength and good reception with a portable 2
way radio.
Laptop needs to be connected to a live internet connection and Google
Earth ™ using LAN, WiFi, or cellular modem. (other packages available).
Commercial users need to use Google Earth Pro ™.
If using a PC or laptop, consult the installation instructions for your GPS
software. (SEE SECTION 11)
