    GETTING STARTED Congratulations on your purchase of the new iLuv i169 HD Radio™ receiver and iPod dock. Targeted specifically to work with your iPod, iLuv stereo audio system with the built-in universal dock provides advanced audio and radio performance that brings out the best in your music. Do not forget to keep this manual for future reference.

    HD Radio Receiver with iPod Dock and Dual Alarm Clock V10M10_IM_EN_03032008 GETTING STARTED Power Source • This HD Radio System operates from AC120V/60Hz line power supply. • The Remote Control operates on 1 Lithium battery, CR2025 (Included). Insert the AC Cord Inlet into the AC cord socket on back of the Radio and the other end into a standard 120V AC outlet as shown in the diagram on this page.

    Remove your iPod first, then grasp the dock adapter and lift upwards carefully. Note: The i169 is not magnetically shielded and may cause color distortion on the screen of some TVs or video monitors. To avoid this, you may need to move the unit further away from the TV or monitor if unnatural color shifts or image distortion occurs.

Please note that the provided remote control cannot control iPod shuffle, first generation iPod, and second generation of iPod.

Press the POWER button to turn on the unit. Press the FUNCTION button to operate the unit in radio mode. Press the BAND button repeatedly to switch the band (AM / FM).

Once they are preset, they can be instantly accessed by keying in the preset channel using the PRESET button.

To overcome such delay, HD Radio™ broadcasting uses a station’s current analog signal to ensure fast tuning of an AM or FM station.

    HD Radio Receiver with iPod Dock and Dual Alarm Clock V10M10_IM_EN_03032008 OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS Setting the Clock The Clock can only be set in POWER off mode. Press and hold the SET/FM MODE button for 2 seconds and the Hour digits of the clock will flash. Press the I I buttons or TUNING buttons until the correct Hour digits appear in the LCD.

The alarm, radio or iPod will then turn on again.

    Generation iPod nano: Make sure on the bottom of your iPod nano is positioned over the connector in the i169 dock prior to seating your iPod nano. Carefully slide the nano down onto the connector in order to insure a secure connection.

    Press the FUNCTION button on the top panel or remote control to select AUX function. “AUX” will show on the top of the display Turn your auxiliary source ON and operate it as usual. The sound from the auxiliary source will be heard through the speakers of the i169.

    Clean your unit with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water. Stronger cleaning agents, such as Benzine, thinner or similar materials can damage the surface of the unit.
