Configure your Device as a Remote
1. Touch
Remote Control
2. Touch Set up now at the prompt.
3. Select your TV's manufacturer name from the Select
your TV Brand screen.

Touch the Show other brands or I have a projector
button if you own a TV brand or projector other than
those listed.
4. Aim your device at the TV and touch
on your TV with the remote.
5. Touch Yes, this code works if the TV is turned on.
– or –
Touch No, text next code, or Send this code again if the
TV did not turn on.
6. Select your current channel control method:
• Set-top Box: selected when changing channels through a
receiver box. Channels are not changed using the TV remote
but rather through the receiver/box.
Continue.
Power to turn
• My XXX TV: selected when a signal is fed directly into the TV
without using a box. Channels are changed directly on the TV
by using the TV remote.
Note: Try matching your current channel selection method.
7. Select the Satellite Box Brand from the available list.
For example, DirectTV
8. Touch Show other brands if your brand does not display in the
list, and follow the displayed instructions.
Important! You must configure your set top box for IR
communication with your device. If you do not
select More info below and follow the on-screen
instructions you may not be able to properly use
the application.
9. Touch More info at the prompt to learn how to configure
your set top box to receive and respond to IR controls.
10. If prompted, place a check mark in the Notification
Panel field and touch Done. This allows you to pin a
shortcut to your remote on the Notification Panel.
11. Press
(Back).
