6. Drive so that clippings are discharged onto the area that
has been cut.
The Roll. Runner can be used as a guide
line for line of cut (Fig° 36)° Have the cut area to the right
of the machine, This wilt result in a more even distribution
of clippings and more uniform cutting. When mowing large
areas (Fig, 38), start by turning
to the right so that the
clippings
w_ll be discharged
away from
shrubs,
fences,
driveways,
etc. After two
or three rounds, mow in the
opposite
direction
making left hand turns until
finished.
If grass is extreme!y
tall. it should be mowed twice
The
first time cut relatively high, The second time to the desired
height. The left hand side of mower should be used for
trimming.
