Notes on using a computer
• Playing HD (high definition) images recorded in the AVCHD
format on a computer
The supplied software application, "PMB:' may not always play HD (high defInition) images
recorded in the AVCHD format properly. Even in a computer environment which satisfIes
the system requirements, there may be noise on playback images, frames may be dropped, or
sound may be lost intermittently. (Imported images and images on discs created subsequently
will not be affected.)
• Installing the supplied "PMB" software application (Windows XP
only)
The supplied "PMB" software application contains DVD writing software and the Sonie UDF
Reader* produced by SONIC SOLUTIONS. If you install "PMB" on a computer that uses
certain writing software, such as Roxio Easy CD Creator 5, in its environment, the computer's
performance may become unstable.

Sonic UDF Reader will not be installed on Windows
Vista~.

Notes on compatibility of AVCHD disc
This camcorder captures high defInition footage in the AVCHD format. High defmition footage
can be copied onto DVD media. However, DVD media containing AVCHD footage should not be
used with DVD based players or recorders, as the DVD player/recorder may fail to eject the media
and may erase its contents without warning. DVD media containing AVCHD footage may be
played on a compatible BIu-ray Disc~ player/recorder or other compatible device.
Devices that can play the disc vary, depending on the image quality.
