    Safety Instructions Safety-related information and instructions have been provided in this manual and on the Navien combination boiler to warn any person(s) of potential hazards. Read and follow all safety information and instructions throughout this manual. It is very important to understand the safety instructions before installing, operating or servicing Navien combination boilers.

    Safety Instructions DANGER HOT WATER TEMPERATURE SETTING This Navien Combination boiler is factory set at 120°F (49°C) for your safety and comfort. Increasing the set temperature increases the risk of accidental scalding. Consult the chart below before you decide to adjust the set temperature.

    Equipment Protection and Personal Safety 1. Ignition Failure If the ignition fails, the gas supply is automatically cut off. An error code will appear as a flashing 2-digit code on the room thermostat. The error codes are discussed in the troubleshooting section of the operation manual.

Freeze Protection During the heating season, a sensor inside the combination boiler will automatically detect and initiate a safety heating cycle to prevent internal equipment damage from occurring freezing temperature exist.
