The Pyle PWMA1050BT is a portable PA system with built-in amplification. To connect a monitor speaker, you can use either a passive or active (powered) speaker, depending on the available output options.

### 1. Using a Passive Monitor Speaker
A passive speaker requires an amplified signal. Since the PWMA1050BT does not have a dedicated speaker output for passive monitors, you cannot directly connect a passive monitor speaker unless you use an external power amplifier.

Steps (if using an external amplifier):
- Connect the LINE OUT or REC OUT (if available) from the PWMA1050BT to the input of an external power amplifier using a suitable cable (RCA or 1/4" depending on the output).
- Connect the amplifier’s speaker output to the passive monitor speaker using speaker cables.
- Adjust the amplifier’s volume to match the PA system.

### 2. Using an Active (Powered) Monitor Speaker
An active speaker has a built-in amplifier and can receive a line-level signal directly.

Steps:
- Locate the LINE OUT or REC OUT on the PWMA1050BT.
- Use an RCA-to-RCA or RCA-to-1/4" cable to connect the LINE OUT of the PWMA1050BT to the input of the active monitor speaker.
- Power on the active speaker and adjust its volume as needed.

Using an active speaker is the simplest method since it does not require an additional amplifier.
