If the element is to be re-used, tap it
against a fixed surface to remove dust.

Check the air cleaner base. Make sure it
is secured and not bent or damaged.
Also check the air filter cover for damage
or improper fit. Replace all damaged air
cleaner components.
5.
Install the filter element. Check that it fits
properly and that no air leaks occur.
6.
Install the cover and tighten the knobs by
hand.
