Solving Problems (Continued)
Solution
• Make sure the Wireless LAN MultiPort
W200 is seated correctly. Refer to Chapter
2 for instructions.
• Make sure the Wireless LAN MultiPort
W200 status light is solid green. If you are
using a notebook computer and the
Wireless LAN MultiPort W200 status light is
not on, press
LAN MultiPort W200.
• Make sure the drivers are installed. Select
Start > Settings > Control Panel >
Network and see if the Compaq Wireless
LAN MultiPort W200 is listed as a network
adapter.
• Refer to Chapter 2 for more information.
• The wireless LAN software may not be
installed. Refer to Chapter 2 for more
information.
• Make sure your computer and each network
client to which you are trying to connect
have the same Network Name (SSID). The
Network Name is case sensitive.
• Make sure your WEP settings are correct.
• Make sure you are within range of an
access point or network client.
