service on this refri g erator.
Pa g e 8 shows a wirin g pictorial and dia g ram. Review
both the wirin g pictorial and dia g ram to understand the
electrical circuits and the relationship to the individual
components.
Understand the service procedures before performin g
the service.
Alwa y s appl y the safet y precautions listed below
when servicin g this refri g erator. Failure to follow these
safet y precautions can result in substantial propert y
dama g e, severe personal in j ur y , or death.
• Hazardous volta g e can cause propert y dama g e,
severe personal in j ur y , or death. Disconnect
both the AC and DC electrical sources to the
refri g erator before performin g service.
• To prevent short circuits, connect the positive
batter y lead to the refri g erator before attachin g
the ne g ative lead.
• The 120 VAC circuit must be properl y g rounded.
Never cut or remove the round g roundin g pron g
from the refri g erator's AC power cord. Do not
use a two-pron g adapter. Do not use an exten-
sion cord.

• The use of improper rated fuses can lead to an
electrical fire. In the event of a circuit overload,
replace blown fuses with a fuse specified b y
Norcold. Fuse specifications are found in the
"Specifications" section on pa g e 2 of this man-
ual. The correct fuse size is printed ad j acent to
the fuse on the refri g erator.
• Keep li q uids awa y from electrical connections.
Man y li q uids are electricall y conductive and
could cause serious arcin g dama g e and, in
some cases, fires.
• Never bend, drop, drill, weld, or hammer the
coolin g unit. Doin g so can cause the coolin g unit
to rupture, releasin g chemicals under hi g h pres-
sure. Contact with these chemicals ma y cause
severe burns to the e y es or skin.
• Never attempt to repair or rechar g e the coolin g
unit. A defective coolin g unit must be replaced.
• Hazardous vapors. Propane g as can cause an
explosion, resultin g in propert y dama g e, severe
personal in j ur y , or death. Use caution when work-
in g with or near a propane g as s y stem. Do not
smoke. Do not create sparks or use an open flame
to check g as suppl y lines or g as connections.
• To prevent g as leaks and dama g e to the g as
suppl y lines and fittin g s, use two wrenches when
connectin g or disconnectin g g as fittin g s ( See
Fi g ure 1 below ) .
