warnIng! laser!
• The built-in laser beam can damage the eye if you look straight into it.
• You should not therefore attempt to dismantle the appliance's body.
• Do not insert any objects through openings in the appliance as this could activate the laser beam
while the DVD/CD tray is open.
warnIng of injuries
• Batteries must not be charged or reactivated with other agents.
• Batteries must not be taken apart, thrown in fires or short circuited.
• If battery acid has leaked out of the battery, avoid contact with the skin, eyes and mucous
membranes.
• Wash the affected areas immediately with copious amounts of clean water and seek medical
help without delay.
• Caution! Explosion hazard with incorrect battery replacement. Replace only the same or an
equivalent battery type.
• The appliance must be properly fitted beneath a horizontal surface as described in the installation
instructions to prevent it from falling.
CaUTIon – Damage to property
• Protect the appliance and the remote control from heat such as direct sunlight or central heating
radiators.
• If mounting the appliance on a shelf, ensure at least 10 cm clearance on either side of it.
• Do not install the appliance above a cooker or hob.
• Do not place naked flames such as burning candles immediately beneath or next to the
appliance.
• Do not install the appliance near to sinks or wash basins.
• To prevent interference, install the appliance as far away as possible from other electrical
appliances such as refrigerators, microwaves or fluorescent lamps.
• Install the appliance securely beneath a shelf or wall cabinet.
• Ensure a clearance of at least 3.5 cm between the rear of the appliance and the wall behind it so
that the connections can still be reached.
• Attach the appliance under horizontal surfaces only.
• Place no objects on the accessories.
• Do not use any scraping, aggressive or scouring cleaning products to clean the appliance as
they may damage its surfaces.
• Clean the battery and appliance contacts before fitting the battery.
• Do not expose the battery to extreme conditions, e.g. on central heating radiators.
• This aggravates the risk of leakage.
• Remove the battery from the remote control when it is spent or if you are not using the appliance
for a while. This will avoid possible damage due to battery leakage.
• Switch off all appliances before connecting them together.
