Blue Box USB Backup Instructions 1. Insert USB stick into open USB port (front or rear). 2. Right click mouse and drop down menu will appear. 3. Select (left Click) “Main Menu”. 4. Select username drop down to “888888” 5. Select Password area and a drop down number pad will appear. 6. Select “888888” then select “OK” two (2) times. This will take you to the Main Menu. 7. Select “Backup” from Main Menu. Backup menu will appear. 8. Uncheck everything except USB DISK. 9. Select “Backup”. Backup menu will appear. 10. Move cursor over the Start Time area and select the correct Day. A drop down keypad will appear to select the correct Start Day. You will do this for the Start Time, Monty, Year, Hour, Minute and Second. You may have to use 24Hr time or AM/PM depending on your Blue Box. 11. Once correct Start Time and End Time are selected, select desired channel where data resides (1‐4, 1‐8 or 1‐16 depending on system configuration). 12. Select the “Add” button to add the files to the job. 13. Repeat step 13 to add other channels to the same job. 14. Make sure the files you want to backup have a check mark under the CH heading. 15. Select “Backup” at the bottom of the screen to start the backup process. 16. Once completed, a “Backup Finished” window will appear. Remove the USB drive and right click 3 times to return Blue Box to viewing screen. NOTES: Blue Box player is copied onto USB stick during every backup. System is ready to play in any Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7 machine. ...

Blue Box Video Connections Run included Siamese cable from each dome camera location to Blue Box. Run included Siamese cable and 4 conductor data cable from each PTZ camera location to Blue Box. Note PTZ cameras require 24VAC (separate included power supply). Connect PTZ RS‐485 (Orange(s) to A and Yellow(s) to B) to Blue Box. Connect DVI‐D to HDMI cable from Z‐Touch radar processors to converters. Connect composite output of converters to Blue Box. Connect both radar converters to A/C power source. Follow VHF Audio Module wiring diagram for all audio connections. Once system is powered up ensure all video is visible and aim cameras as required. ...

Blue Box Audio Test Procedure (NEMA and Lockbox units only) 1. Turn monitor on 2. Make sure volume is turned up full 3. Using mouse right click select View 1 then the first channel name in the list (if asked to login, please provide credentials). 4. This will make channel 1 in full screen mode and activate audio output to monitor. 5. Squelch should be heard by squelching the Port VHF. If no squelch is heard, squelch Starboard VHF. If squelch is heard, the audio input is on the wrong input channel (please contact installer). 6. Once the correct VHF is determined you can un‐squelch and transmit. You should hear your voice or a high pitch squeal thru the monitor speakers as the microphone is activated and back feeding thru the system. This test should be done in both low and high power. 7. Once this is verified right click the mouse, select View 1 and the second channel name in the list. 8. Squelch should be heard by squelching the Starboard VHF. If no squelch is heard, squelch Port VHF. If squelch is heard, the audio input is on the wrong input channel (please contact installer). 9. Once the correct VHF is determined you can un‐squelch and transmit. You should hear your voice or a high pitch squeal thru the monitor speakers as the microphone is activated and back feeding thru the system. This test should be done in both low and high power. 10. If hang up option is installed you should hear your voice or high pitch squeal whenever the microphone is lifted off the hang‐up switch or cradle (on View 1 third channel). 11. Once all audio is confirmed please right select and choose View 4, View 8 or View 16 depending on which system you have installed. ...
