Procedure to connect FX1000 to the computer
Prior connecting FX1000 to PC, make sure that the computer is switched on. Carry out the connection
with the cable supplied. After a few seconds, a series of messages will appear on the computer:
At this point, FX1000 is correctly connected and recognised by the computer.
Note: The recognition of FX1000 by the computer takes places during the first connection; in subse-
quent connection no message will appear. Only the characteristic sound produced by the computer to
indicate the insertion of a USB device will be heard.
Attenzion: If the FX1000 is not recognised by the computer and a USB device not recognised error
message appears, repeat the operation. If the problem persists, check that the minimum requirements
are respected.

Midi Channels addressing

When you use a MIDI sequencer in your PC itís necessary to choose the MIDI device where you want
to send the data to play the music. Normally in MIDI Sequencer an option ìMidi devicesî is present in
the menu. Selecting this menu, PC will show you two new MIDI devices: "USB Speakers" ("FX1000" for
Windows 7) and "USB Speakers_2" ("FX1000_2" for Windows 7).
If "USB Speakers" ("FX1000" for Windows 7) is selected, MIDI data will be played by channels 1-16.
If "USB Speakers_2" ("FX1000_2" for Windows 7) is selected, MIDI data will be played by channels 17-32.
The data sent via MIDI (with MIDI socket) will be played by channels 1-16.

Setting Midi Out in Program Farfisa Vintage

On the internet site www.farfisa.eu it is possibile to download the program "Farfisa Vintage", a utility to
transform your FX1000 in a "Vintage keyboard" with Drawbars organs, Farfisa Combo Compact, Farfisa
Synth Maker etc. When you use "Farfisa Vintage" please select "USB Speakers" ("FX1000" for Windows
7) as Midi Out device in menu "Midi out". If the Midi device "USB Speakers" ("FX1000" for Windows 7) is
in use by another application you can select "USB Speakers (2)" ("FX1000_2" for Windows 7) and push
the button "RESET EXPANDER".
