JVMs for popular operating systems as MS Windows, Linux
and Solaris. We strongly recommend the use of the actual
JVM version (1.6 at the date of document release).
• You will also need Sun's Java WebStart installed on your
computer (note: JVM 1.4 and higher includes the WebStart
technology, so you don't have to download/install it
separately). The Java WebStart technology for several
platforms is available from Sun's web site.
• If you can't access this Gateway directly, using a router with
NAT/PAT activated or an SSH tunnel, you need JavaScript
enabled in your browser, else the WebStart application will
not be able to find the Configurator (note: this is the case if
the URL used to get to this page does not match the
Gateway's real hostname and/or port).
If the requirements postulated above are fulfilled, the GUI of the
Configurator can be loaded and opened by clicking the button

The click on this button starts the download of the A850 Configu-
rator to your workstation (if it does not yet exist there) and starts it.
While the Configurator is loaded, you will see

Note: At the first start of the Configurator, a security warning of
the Java Virtual Machine is issued. Please check the box
"Always trust content from this publisher" if you are sure
that you are connected to your A850. Then, acknowledge
the start of the Configurator by clicking the button "Yes".
