DANGER • Never lean over grill when lighting. DO NOT wear loose clothing or allow hair to come in contact with grill. • Use caution when opening the lid since flames can flare-up when fresh air suddenly comes in contact with fire. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS DANGER Before operating you Bayou Grill, be certain to read and understand all Dangers, Warnings and ™ Cautions found in this manual. NOTE: Place the grill away from open windows or doors to prevent smoke from entering your house. Season Grill prior to First Use First, place some wood chunks in water for about one hour.

Type and quantity of charcoal used also affects heat output. TIP: Barrel Grill models 500-724 and 500-755 can be used as smokers having indirect heat simply by placing charcoal on the side by air intake damper, then placing food on the opposite side above the grease drain.
GENERAL CARE & MAINTENANCE Very little care and maintenance is required. Your Bayou Grill is constructed from heavy 10-gauge steel ™ and coated with 1200˚F high heat resistant paint that maintains its long lasting appearance.
