Suggestions
The special glossy calibration sheet that came with
your scanner will give you the best calibration re-
sults. To order a new Calibration Sheet, go to the
Brother Solutions Center at
http://solutions.brother.com/ or find contact infor-
mation for your local Brother office at
http://www.brother.com/.
Use your scanner without connecting it to a USB
hub. A USB hub may not be able to supply enough
power to the scanner.
Turn the scanner off when you charge it.
Make sure the Li-ion battery is installed in the cor-
rect direction (see the Quick Setup Guide).
Insert the battery.
Insert the battery in the correct direction. For more
information, see Installing the battery on page 8.
Do one of the following:
®
• Set the Wi-Fi switch to OFF to use the scanner.
• Connect the Micro USB Cable to your scanner
and your computer to use the scanner. If you
cannot turn on the scanner when you press the
Power button, wait for two minutes, and then
press the Power button again.
• Turn off the scanner and connect the Micro USB
Cable to your scanner and your computer until
the battery is charged fully. And then use the
scanner.
Connect the Micro USB Cable to your scanner and
your computer to charge the battery.
Install the battery, and then charge it.

Connect the Micro USB Cable to your scanner and
your computer.
Press the Start / OK button, and then display SD on
the LCD to change to Mass Storage mode (SD
mode).

Set the Wi-Fi switch to OFF.
When the scanning is finished, wait for the SD
card's folder to be displayed on your computer
screen.
