Annual Maintenance

The procedures detailed in this chapter must be carried out only by a professionally qualifi ed
person. Thus you are advised to contact an Authorised Service Agent.
For effi cient and continuous operation of the boiler you are advised to have, at least once a
year, maintenance and cleaning done by an Approved Service Person.
Isolate the appliance from the electricity supply by turning off the fused spur isolation switch
adjacent to the appliance and turn off the gas cock, before carrying out any procedures, what-
soever, for cleaning, maintenance, opening or dismantling boiler panels.
Front Panel:
Loosen the three screws A (Fig. 17.1)
Lift and remove the panel.
Side Panels:
Loosen the screws B (Figure 17.2). Bring the bottom of the panels away from the boiler and
lift them, freeing them from the top hooks.
Take off the front panel of the case, then the sealed chamber lid and the front panel of the com-
bustion chamber.If you notice dirt on the fi ns of the primary heat (9 on page 10), cover the slop-
ing surfaces of the burner (7 on page 10) entirely in a protective layer (sheets of newspaper or
similar). Brush out the primary heat exchanger (9 on page 10) with a bristle paintbrush.
