o Define the Bits per Second parameter (also referred to as the "Baudrate").
This value defines the speed at which the Quantum
Software will transmit the design to the sewing machine and the speed at
which the machine will accept it. The Bits per Second value at the software
side has to have the same value as the "Baudrate value at the sewing
machine side, in order to be able to transmit a design to the sewing
machine. (Instructions for setting the sewing machine Baudrate will follow).
o Choose the 38400 setting.
o When ready, click on the Wait to Send icon. At the same time go to the
sewing machine and request to receive the it. (Instructions below)
o Changing the Baudrate at the machine –
a. Select the Help key (the white book with the red "?").
b. From the right hand row of Pink Boxes, select the bottom Pink Icon (the
automatic settings)
c. Press the page back (the white book with the yellow page on the left).
d. Select the 38400 setting.
e. Press OK.
o Receiving the design – From the help screen, press the pictogram of the
"Computer", the machine will request the design from the PC and
transmission will begin. A progress bar at both the machine and the PC will
indicate the action in progress.
o When all of the transmitted data is received, the progress bar will stop,
indicating the transmission is complete. The design can now be used on the
sewing machine side, in the same way as any other design read into the
machine.
