9. Voice Services

Using Automatic Speech Recognition

Your phone is equipped with an Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR)
feature. This feature allows you to make calls or use the phone's
functions by simply using your voice. All you have to do is to talk into
the phone, and the phone will recognise your voice and complete
tasks by itself. You can activate Automatic Speech Recognition
whether the phone is open or closed.
Note:
Please set the Voice Prompt feature (see page 29) to on before using
Automatic Speech Recognition so that you can hear the voice instructions from
the phone. The default setting is set to off.
Activating Automatic Speech Recognition
To activate Automatic Speech Recognition:
From standby mode, press
The phone displays the Command menu and prompts you to say the
name of the command you want to use. To complete your task,
simply follow the Voice Prompt instructions. You can respond to
each instruction by speaking into your phone after hearing a beep.
The following is a list of available ASR commands:
Contact to call an entry in your Contacts list. (See next page for
details.)
Dial Number to dial a phone number by speaking the number. (See
page 94 for details.)
Find Contact to find an entry stored in your Contacts list. (See page
94 for details.)
Go to <menu item> to open an item in the main menu. (See page
100 for details.)
International to make an international call. (See page 97 for details.)
Call Voice Tag to call the person stored in the Voice Tag List. (See
page 95 for details.)
Tools to select additional commands from Digit Training, Add
Voice Tag, Review Voice Tag, Erase Voice Tag or Phone Status.

Push 2 Talk to place a Push 2 Talk call from the Push 2 Talk List.
