Loading Batteries for the
First Time
Before using your electronic dictionary for the fi rst time, be sure to
perform the following steps to load the two LR6 or AA-size alkaline
batteries that come with it.

While pressing at the two
points on the battery cover
indicated in the illustration,
slide the cover in the direction
indicated by the arrow and
remove it.

Load the two batteries, and
then replace the battery
cover.
• While pressing the (–) end of
each battery against the spring,
lower the (+) end into the
battery compartment making
sure the ribbon is passing
under the battery.
