I wanted to replace the wired door button on my Overhead door 450A. When I installed a new doorbell with led the garage door would activate every few minutes on its own. Is the voltage to the button ac or dc ? what is the voltage ? Will a led button switch work ?

The Overhead Door 450A uses a wired door button circuit that operates on low voltage. However, the exact voltage type and value are not specified in the provided context. An LED button switch may not work properly if it draws power continuously or adds resistance, which can cause issues such as false signals or system faults. The manual mentions that a "lighted pushbutton" can cause faults, suggesting that LED or illuminated switches may not be compatible.

Does all overhead door openers 450A use dip switch ? If yes, I can’t find them. If not, what code do I use on a replacement remote?

Not all Overhead Door 450A openers use dip switches. The document mentions that coding can be changed using three-position code switches on the receiver and transmitter, indicating that some models use dip switches. If a 450A opener does not use dip switches, the replacement remote must match the specific radio frequency and coding method used by the opener. The exact code for a replacement remote is not provided in the document.

The Overhead Door model 450A includes a Motor, 1/4 HP Spline Shaft 6 Pole, which indicates it operates on AC power rather than DC.
