Operational Introduction
EPG (Electronic Program Guide)
For the purpose of this product, EPG is a program
schedule that may or may not be provided by the
broadcaster. The basic mode of EPG is Now and
Next. Now refers to the current program and its
duration. Next refers to the ensuing program.
In most cases the broadcaster will provide
supplementary information on Now / Next
programs, such as detailed program descriptions
and durations.
To further augment the EPG feature, some
broadcaster may provide a full single day or
multiple day program guide. The DVR-810 uses
the information provided in this type of EPG for
scheduled recordings. See, Using the EPG for
Scheduled Recordings.
1. While viewing Live TV press the EPG button.
The EPG main dialogue box is shown with
a list of the current TV channels/services
program information.
2. Press the Ç or È button to select the
required TV channel/service.
3. Once the TV channel/service is selected,
press the EPG button, again. The EPG/Weekly
schedule displayed with TODAY highlighted.
Note that some broadcasters may only send
NOW and NEXT information, while others send
single day or multiple day program schedules.
4. Depending on the EPG type (i.e. NOW,
NEXT, single or multiple day) use the Ç or
È buttons to scroll through the available
program titles. On the right side of the
highlighted program title, is a full or partial
description of the program. If a partial
description is displayed, press ENTER to show
the full description. Use the Ç or È buttons
to scroll through the full program description.
5. Press the EPG button to return to the EPG/
Weekly dialogue box, or press the EXIT button
until all dialogue screens are cleared.
