    ______________________________________________________ WTS32 Wireless Thermostat Installation Charging the Thermostat The thermostat is supplied with a replaceable lithium ion battery. The battery can be charged through a USB cable (included) connected to a PC or an optional power supply (PN 4350017). During the charging process the battery icon will flash on and off.

To install the thermostat you should have the following tools and materials. ■ Slotted screwdriver ■ Phillips screwdriver ■ Hammer ■ Electric drill and 3/16” drill bit 1) Gently pry off the round metal mounting bracket on the back of the thermostat.

This unit includes #6 X 1 slotted screws and wall anchors for mounting. Find an acceptable place to mount the receiver (about 60 inches off the floor and in an area with good air circulation).

You can configure the receiver for use with either multi-stage electric heat systems or multi-stage gas systems. When configured for electric heat, the G terminal (blower/fan) will be energized on a call for heat.

Step 2 - Attach receiver using BT (bit tap) #6X1/2” sheet metal screws. Do not use screws longer than 1/2". Step 3 – Connect receiver to thermostat terminal on PTAC using 18 awg.

    ______________________________________________________ WTS32 Wireless Thermostat Matching Thermostat to Receiver When the thermostat and receiver are purchased together they are matched at the factory. If communication is lost between the thermostat and receiver, follow the matching instructions below. Select 5+2 (Programming for week + weekend) or 7 day (Program each day individually).

    ______________________________________________________ WTS32 Wireless Thermostat Auto Changeover The Auto Changeover feature will not operate while the thermostat is in Permanent Override. When the AUTO mode is selected the thermostat will automatically change between Heating and Cooling. It is recommended keeping your programmed heating and cooling temperature at least 2˚F (2˚C) apart to allow the Auto Changeover to occur when the appropriate temperature span has been reached.

    ______________________________________________________ WTS32 Wireless Thermostat Operation Standby Mode Press the ▲▼ buttons for 5 seconds or until the display shows ”PE”. The thermostat will disable wireless functions and will go into “Standby” mode to save battery power. Press it again for another 5 seconds to restart the thermostat.

    ______________________________________________________ WTS32 Wireless Thermostat Depending on system configurations and span selections the heating stage (terminals) will activate at different temperatures. The “AUX Heat On” will only display when a heat pump system (HP1 or HP2) is selected. Example: System selection HP2/SPAN1 = 2, Span2 = 2, Span3 = 2.

    ______________________________________________________ WTS32 Wireless Thermostat Emergency System – Heat Pump Systems Only EMER bypasses the Heat Pump to use the heat source wired to terminal E on the thermostat. EMER is typically used when compressor operation is not desired, or you prefer back-up heat only. If the heat pump system has two auxiliary heat sources W1 and W2 can be activated at different temperatures based on SPAN settings.
