The floor protection
When unit is installed at least 8" above combustible floor the
non-combustible floor protector must have an R-value = 1.03 or
greater and extend 20" to the front and 8" beyond each side.
*When appliance is installed flush with combustible floor the
floor protection must extend 8" beyond each side of the fuel
loading door and 30" to the front and consist of non-combustible
material having an R-value = 4.8 or greater.
Installation Clearances
It is extremely important that you respect required installation
distances and that you respect local installation regulations. This
is for your safety! The manufacturer is not responsible for the
product, if it is not installed following these recommendations.
These clearances may only be reduced by means approved by the
regulatory authority.
Make sure that the Fireplace Insert will have enough clearance to
combustible materials that would surround the insert. These combustibles can include walls, floor, ceiling,
fireplace, and chimney. You must carefully consider the clearances to all of these combustibles before actually
connecting your Fireplace Insert.
