WHAT COULD HAPPEN
When operated continuously, the air hose gets
hot, especially near the compressor. If you main-
tain contact by grasping you may suffer minor
burns or discomfort.
On tank mounted units, the plumbing between the
pump and tank gets hot.
It is normal for the motor and pressure switch to
spark.
A
spark can ignite flammable vapors from
gasoline or solvents, causing a fire or explosion.
HOW TO PREVENT IT
Never touch the air compressor head during or
immediately after operation.
On tank mounted units, avoid prolonged contact
with the pump to tank plumbing.
The air compressor must only be used in well
ventilated areas, free of gasoline or solventvapors.
Do
not operate the compressor while you are
carrying it.
