    Fire Detector with Card Controller INSTALLATION GUIDE and OPERATING MANUAL The FS10-CS Detector is directly connected (home run) to its Card Controller using a four wire 18 to 22 gauge twisted pair shielded cable. The Flame Detector communicates to the Controller using a two-wire serial digital differentially driven RS-485 communication link, with the other two wires providing low voltage DC power (+9 Volts) and DC return.

    The Card Controllers are only to be mounted on Card Controller Backplane Mounting Assemblies. The Card Controller is not designed for explosive atmospheres. Refer to Section 1.6 for details.
