4.0 SATA Interface
These drives use the industry-standard Serial ATA (SATA) interface that supports FIS data transfers. It supports
ATA programmed input/output (PIO) modes 0 to 4; multiword DMA modes 0 to 2, and Ultra DMA modes 0 to 6.

specification.
4.1 Hot-Plug compatibility
Barracuda drives incorporate connectors which enable you to hot plug these drives in accordance with the SATA
Revision 3.0 specification. This specification can be downloaded from www.serialata.org.
